Walk a Mile in Her Shoes back to in-person event this year

Red Deer’s Outreach Centre is once again calling on men with big hearts and big feet to take part in the annual Walk A Mile in Her Shoes event.

The pledge-based fundraising and public awareness campaign demonstrates that men are willing and able to be courageous partners with women by literally walking a mile in red high-heeled shoes.

This years’ event will be at Bower Place on Wednesday, Sept. 15, with registration still open.

Last years’ event had to be held digitally due to public health restrictions, so they are excited to be able to hold the event in-person once again.

As of Monday morning, the Outreach Centre has raised just over $9,300 for the 2021 event.
