Ponoka RCMP investigating serious collision

Three people are in hospital following a two-vehicle crash near the Wolf Creek Golf Resort Tuesday morning.

At 9:14 a.m. on Sept. 7, Ponoka RCMP were dispatched to a report of a two-vehicle collision at Highway 2A and Morningside (Hwy 604).

Mounties say a westbound vehicle travelling on Highway 604 entered Highway 2A and struck a southbound vehicle.

The two occupants of the southbound vehicle have been transported to hospital by EMS with serious injuries.

The driver of the westbound vehicle, meanwhile, was also transported by EMS with undetermined injuries.

The RCMP Collision Analyst has been called to the scene to assist, while the investigation into the circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.

Police say traffic flow has since resumed on Highway 2A between Lacombe and Ponoka.
