Riggers vying for Sunburst Baseball League championship Friday night

Red Deer’s senior men’s AAA baseball team the Red Deer Riggers, are off to Edmonton Sept. 3 for game five of the Sunburst Baseball League final.

The best of five series is tied-2-2 after the Riggers (11-13) beat the Edmonton Cubs (17-7) in Alberta’s capital city Thursday night, 6-4 in an extra inning victory.

First pitch is 7:30 p.m. at RE/Max Field.
