Similar suspect sought in second armed robbery in Innisfail

Second Incident

Police in Innisfail are searching for a suspect who they belive to be responsible for a second armed robbery at the same location in only a few days, as well as an attempted armed robbery at a home.

On Aug. 28, around 1:40 a.m., police were once again called to the Fas Gas location on 5107 50 Street in Innisfail following a 911 report of an armed robbery which had just occurred, the second time in as many days.

When police arrived they determined a lone male suspect wearing a black face covering entered the store armed with a revolver style handgun.

There was one employee at the time of the robbery, who wasn’t injured. The suspect demanded money from the employee before fleeing on foot.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The description of the suspect is the same as the Aug. 26 robbery at the same location.

He’s described as a male, tall with a medium build and last seen wearing a black sweater, black shorts, black and white runners, gloves and glasses.

Third Incident

Then on the evening of Aug 28, around 9:20 p.m., Innisfail RCMP received a 911 call of an armed robbery being attempted on a residential block in Innisfail.

The description provided of the suspect resembled that of the suspect from the two prior robberies at Fas Gas.

Though no one was hurt during these incidents, police are asking the public not to approach the subject if seen and to call police immediatly.

In each incident the suspect has shown a gun, demanded cash and a vehicle.

Innisfail RCMP’s investigation into this incident is ongoing.

During both these incidents the suspect was wearing similar shorts, and the same black Nike running shoes and ankle socks.

There are no photos available from the third incident.
