Innisfail RCMP seek suspect in armed gas station robbery

Police in Innisfail are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery Thursday night.

On Aug. 26 around 11:23 p.m., Innisfail RCMP responded to a 911 call at the Fas Gas convenience store located at 5107 50 Street in Innisfail.

When police arrived on scene, they discovered that a lone male suspect, who was wearing a white face covering, entered the store while armed with a weapon.

Mounties say there was one employee and one customer in the store at the time, and the suspect demanded money from each of them before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount.

Patrols were made by RCMP with help from Police Dog Services, but they were unable to locate the suspect.

No one was hurt during this incident.

The suspect is described as male, tall with a medium build and last seen wearing a black sweater, black shorts, black and white runners, gloves and glasses.
