Fatal pedestrian vs train collision at Samson Cree Nation

RCMP, Fire and EMS are currently on scene of a fatal collision between a train and pedestrian on the Samson Cree Nation townsite.

Masckwacis RCMP say it’s near the intersection of Hwy 2A and Hwy 611E .

Mounties confirm that a 39-year-old male from Maskwacis is deceased.

Emergency crews remain on scene, however, but traffic in the area does not appear to be affected.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
