Red Deer Chamber to host Women Leading Change

The Red Deer and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a one-day professional development event next month for women in business.

Residents are welcome to attend Women Leading Change, a day of professional development that will feature a variety of workshops on professional development.

The event will be held at Red Deer Polytechnic Art Centre on Sept. 21 from 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Topics include HR, Social Media, Marketing, Accounting, Networking, Finance, Remote Working, Risk Management and more.

The event offers networking opportunities, a panel of local women entrepreneurs and great food.

Special guest speaker is Rachael Harder – Lethbridge MP.

Harder’s entrepreneurial spirit, determination, and commitment to innovation were made evident at the age of 11 when she started her own small business, raising dogs and running a boarding kennel.

With the revenue generated from her business, Harder helped fund several international development projects, participated in four international humanitarian missions, and put herself through university.

In 2016, Rachael Harder was named one of Lethbridge’s “Top 40 under Forty.”
