Raising money for crime prevention

Huge Garage Sale this weekend put on by the Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre

The Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre is hosting their second annual Huge Garage Sale for Crime Prevention this week.

The sale will take place starting this Thursday, Aug. 19 and will go until Sunday, Aug. 22, at the Pidherney Curling Centre, 4725 – 43 Street, Red Deer.

There will be a huge selection of items, including furniture, baby items, home décor, books, toys, games, clothes, collectibles, sporting goods, lawn & garden, and much more. On Sunday, everything is 50 per cent off.

All proceeds raised will go towards the Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre, as well as crime prevention in Red Deer and central Alberta.

The mission of the Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre is to engage, educate, and empower residents to increase community safety.

Thursday, Aug. 19: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 20: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 21: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 22: 10 am. – 2 p.m. (50 per cent off day)
