Ponoka man charged with fraud

A Ponoka man is facing several charges related to fraud.

RCMP say it was July 18 when they entered into an investigation regarding a male allegedly breaching pre-existing conditions of his release.

During said investigation, the male was found to be in possession of a number of personal ID and financial cards in various names.

Greg Allen, 33, of Ponoka has been charged with several offences including:

· Identity fraud (x2)

· Forgery (x4)

· Breach of release order (x2)

· Theft, forgery or misuse of credit card

Following a court appearance, Allen was remanded into custody and will appear in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on July 30, 2021.
