Downtown traffic disruptions starting this weekend

Red Deer drivers are advised of a road closure on 51 Avenue south of 50 Street as crews replace catch basins and complete paving.

Starting at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 51 Avenue will be closed between 50 Street and 49 Street until 4:00 p.m. Monday, July 19. Taylor Drive can be used for a traffic detour.

Motorists are reminded to slow down in construction areas and obey all signs. All road construction is weather dependent and schedules may be subject to change.
