Shining Mountains Living & UAVS hosting BBQ and housing survey on Sunday
Shining Mountains Living and Urban Aboriginal Voices Society are looking for Indigenous voices to talk about housing in Red Deer.
This Sunday, June 27, the two organizations are hosting a free BBQ and conversation about housing in Red Deer.
Attendees will be invited to complete a survey, with homeowners, renters or people struggling with housing all eligible.
“For the last three or four months, we’ve been looking at the needs of people who are experiencing or have experienced homelessness, and what programs they feel they need,” shares Raye St. Denys, executive director at Shining Mountains. “We want to know whether they feel the services available to them right now meet their needs, what more could help them, and what they would like to see in their world. We’re asking them with respect to share their lived experience.”
