A 16-year-old male youth has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose following an altercation earlier this month near the Sylvan Lake Pier.
It was around 8 p.m. on June 2 when RCMP responded to 911 calls about the disturbance.
Police say close to 200 people were in close proximity at the time, though investigation identified a smaller group and a person of interest.
“RCMP would like to thank the public for their tips, as it was instrumental in identifying this individual,” Mounties said in a release.
