Suspects sought in Blackfalds carjacking

Mounties are on the hunt for two suspects wanted in connection to an armed carjacking in Blackfalds.

It was just after 4:30 a.m. on May 22 when police say the incident took place at the Blackfalds Community Centre.

According to RCMP, a grey Mazda car with two male occupants approached the victim and demanded that he get out of his vehicle. One male suspect produced a black revolver and pointed it at the victim while the other male suspect had a baton in his hands. Both suspects fled from the area in the victim’s vehicle and the Grey Mazda car.

Police say the victim was not injured.

The first suspect is described as:

• Male in his mid-20s

• Dark complexion and curly hair

• Dark colored eyes

• Approximately 5’10” – 5’11 ” tall

• Lanky build

Last seen wearing:

• Dark grey zip-up hoodie

• Black flat brim baseball cap with a red under-brim, perched back on his forehead with hair visible under the brim

• Red, paisley patterned bandana, worn under his lower lip

The second suspect is described as:

• Caucasian male

Last seen wearing:

• All black clothing

• Black facemask

• Carrying a baton
