Suspects rob Blackfalds gas station at gunpoint

Blackfalds RCMP are turning to the public for help in identifying and locating a pair of suspects wanted for holding up a local gas station.

It was just after 8 a.m. on May 21 when Mounties were called about an armed robbery at a Petro Canada store in the area of Aspen Lakes Boulevard in Blackfalds.

Police say two men wearing face coverings entered the store with what is believed to be a firearm and demanded cash and other goods. A quantity of cash and goods were obtained before the suspects fled from the store in what is believed to be a 2009-2010 black or dark blue Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab pick-up truck.

The first suspect is described as:

• Male

• Thin build

• Last seen wearing: black and white pattern bandana, black sweatshirt with plaid undershirt, welding gloves, jeans.

The second suspect is described as:

• Male

• Caucasian

• Neck tattoo on right side

• Thin

• Last seen wearing a black toque.
