Clearview Star Award winner – Eileen McComish

Clearview Public Schools is pleased to announce that Eileen McComish has been selected as one of the 2021 recipients of the 2021 Clearview Star Award.

McComish has been a school mentor at Erskine School for the past 11 years. She has mentored four children in that school and followed two of them all the way to graduation at Wm E Hay Stettler Secondary Campus. She is now in her fourth year with her current mentee.

McComish is also mentoring a younger sibling of her first mentee, 11 years previous.

“We know that as well as mentoring one on one through Big Brothers Big Sisters, Eileen has also done many other volunteer hours in Erskine School,” reads a statement from Clearview Public Schools. “The staff are also fond of her baking which she brings generously and often.”

“Congratulations to the Clearview STAR Award Winners,” adds Brenda McDonald, Superintendent of Clearview Public Schools, in a press release. “They are truly individuals who demonstrate instructional expertise, creativity and innovation. Their compassion, standard of care and excellence needs to be commended. This is an amazing achievement! We are proud of the work you do every day!”
