Road closure upcoming at Ross St. and 40 Ave.

Motorists are advised that a road closure is scheduled for Ross Street and 40 Avenue starting next Friday.

The closure will begin May 28 at 6 p.m. and last until May 31 at 6 a.m.

The intersection will be closed as crews complete underground work for the widening of the intersection, The City of Red Deer says.

Detours will be implemented via 50A Street, 41 Avenue, 47 Street and 39 Avenue.

Intermittent lane closures will follow, lasting into early July as crews work to add left-turning lanes to Ross Street.

Pedestrians and drivers are reminded to slow down in construction areas and obey all signs. All road construction is weather dependent and schedules may be subject to change.
