Wet snow could blanket central Alberta starting Tuesday
Ahh, Alberta.
Summer-like weather followed by wet snow? It’s a definite possibility as Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for a large part of the province.
“Rain changing to wet snow will occur Tuesday night into Wednesday over central and northern Alberta,” Environment Canada says.
“A large area of rain will develop Tuesday over central and northern Alberta. Starting Tuesday evening, cold air from the Northwest Territories will move southward, causing rain to switch over to snow. At this time, snowfall amounts remain uncertain as ground temperatures are quite warm.”
