Clearview Public Schools announces Star Award winner

A drama, communications technology, and math teacher at William E. Hay Stettler Secondary Campus has been honoured with a prestigious award from Clearview Public Schools.

Darren Fleischhacker has been recognized with The Clearview Star Award which recognizes staff and community members who have made significant contributions to the school’s communities through volunteerism, as a community partner, or supported the district’s schools at the school community level.

Fleischhacker is described as a teacher at heart that truly believes in every student that crosses his path. He is said to have a special way of giving students no choice but to believe in themselves and to challenge their own limits of what they thought they were capable of.

His passion and commitment to the fine arts, specifically drama, is noted as nothing short of contagious, and his knowledge, partnered with his enthusiasm – an incredible contribution to the school community.

“Congratulations to the Clearview STAR Award Winners,” exclaims Superintendent Brenda MacDonald, in a press release. “They are truly individuals who demonstrate instructional expertise, creativity, and innovation. Their compassion, standard of care, and excellence need to be commended.
