Outdoor fitness classes to start May 4 in Red Deer
Red Deerians are once again being invited to participate in The City’s outdoor fitness classes, starting May 4 at Setters Place at Great Chief Park.
A variety of high and moderate-intensity classes including cardio and strength training will be offered at program start-up. More low-intensity options such as gentle, low-impact and yoga classes will be available as the weather warms up.

“We continue to offer as much programming as possible while navigating public health restrictions through the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to bring more opportunities for fitness and wellness, we are excited to get back to our outdoor fitness programming,” said Barb McKee, Recreation Superintendent, in a press release. “Safety is our top priority, and we know how important it is to be active and to get outdoors – through our Outdoor Fitness program, customers can do both!”
