Rocky RCMP Report April 16-21

This is a report released to the media from the Rocky Mountain House (RMH) RCMP giving a brief description of various crimes and call-ins, both solved and unsolved throughout the community between the dates of April 16-21

Not all crimes reported are listed in this report.

April 16

8:33 A.M. – Complaint of threats received over email. Under investigation.

9:44 P.M. – Complaint of an intoxicated male at a residence on the Sunchild First Nations Reserve. Police attended and arrested the individual who had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

April 17

7:07 P.M. – Vehicle stopped for speeding on Hwy #22. The driver provided a breath sample on the alcohol-screening device. He was given a roadside suspension after blowing a “Warn”.

7:02 P.M. – Police arrested an adult male in Clearwater County after he blew a “Fail” on the alcohol-screening device. The vehicle was towed and he was given an immediate roadside sanctions. Charges are pending.

April 18

7:42 A.M. – Theft of a white 2002 DODGE Ram from a compound in the industrial area of RMH. The thieves drove through the fence after stealing the truck.

8:45 A.M. – A licence plate was reported stolen from owner’s Dodge truck at a residence in RMH.

12:22 P.M. – Police arrested a very intoxicated/high individual at a residence in RMH after receiving a disturbance call.

3:54 P.M. – Police arrested an adult female in Caroline for Criminal Harassment after a complaint of a disturbance. Charges are pending.

April 19

2:33 A.M. – Complaint of an assault on the BigHorn First Nations Reserve. Under investigation.

8:21 P.M. – Complaint of an assault with a weapon on the O’Chiese First Nations Reserve. Police attended and arrested an intoxicated adult female. She was released on a document, requiring her to abide by certain conditions and appear on a future court date.

9:54 P.M. – Complaint of a smashed window of a residence on the Sunchild First Nations Reserve, A number of teens were seen running away. Under investigation.

11:28 P.M. – Complaint of a punctured gas tank on a truck while parked at a business in the RMH industrial area.

April 20

1:22 A.M. – Police recovered a stolen car, which had been stolen from Red Deer last month, behind a residence on the O’Chiese First Nations Reserve.

11:22 P.M. – While conducting patrols on the O’Chiese First Nations Reserve, the First Nations Crime Reduction Unit attempted to stop a vehicle that was speeding and sliding wildly on the gravel road. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed before coming to a stop after running out of gas. The adult male driver was arrested for “Flight from police” and “Driving while unauthorized.” He was also a suspended driver and was on previous release conditions. The vehicle was not insured nor registered.

April 21

1:29 P.M. – Complaint of 2 red DODGE pickup trucks racing on ORAS Road. Both had decals in the back window.
