Enough Evidence To Go To Trial?

Preliminary hearing scheduled in Sunchild First Nation homicide

Apr 9, 2021 | 1:34 PM

A two-day preliminary hearing will take place early next year for a man from the Sunchild First Nation charged in a fatal shooting last December.

Keean Frencheater, 24, will see January 20-21, 2022 if his case has enough evidence to go to trial.

Frencheater is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of 39-year-old Jason Lagrelle on Dec. 6, 2020.

That’s when Rocky Mountain House RCMP launched an investigation into a shooting outside a residence on the Sunchild First Nation.
