Rocky RCMP Report March 26 – April 1

This is a report released to the media from the Rocky Mountain House (RMH) RCMP giving a brief description of various crimes and call-ins, both solved and unsolved throughout the community between the dates of March 26-April 1.

Not all crimes reported are listed in this report.

March 26

8:26 A.M. – Licence plate stolen from gravel truck while at a work site near Crimson Lake.

9:23 A.M. – Quad reported stolen sometime since last fall from a residence in the Caroline area. 2008 black SUZUKI 400 King Quad (Alberta licence plate NDJ52).

9:35 A.M. – A catalytic converter was stolen from a DODGE Ram 3500 snow plow truck while parked at an industrial location in RMH.

4:01 P.M. – Compliant of a vehicle passing a school bus on SecHwy #598 while the bus flashing red lights were on.

8:27 P.M. – Vehicle and garage broken into at a residence on the north end of RMH.

March 27

11:14 A.M. – Complaint of 5 bags of bottles stolen from the backyard of a residence in RMH.

12:42 P.M. – Call of death threats received at a residence on the O’Chiese FN Reserve. Under investigation and charges pending.

5:50 P.M. – Report of an adult male & female giving away a free sample of cocaine in RMH. Under investigation.

6:51 P.M. – Report of a disturbance at a residence on the O’Chiese FN Reserve. An adult female was arrested on outstanding warrants and upon being searched, a small amount of methamphetamine was found. Charges pending.

March 28

4:40 P.M. – 911 call of an assault which occurred in the RMH arena parking lot. Police attended and subsequently located & arrested an intoxicated adult male.

March 29

5:35 P.M. – While on patrol in RMH, the RCMP Crime Reduction Unit recognized a male who was stealing items from a property. The prolific offender was arrested for theft, trespassing, and failing to comply with previous release conditions. When searched, they found fentanyl in his clothing. Charges are pending.

March 30

3:21 P.M. – Call of an individual at a residence in RMH, breaching previous release conditions. Police located and arrested the adult male at a different location. Charges pending.

April 1

1:03 P.M. – Storage units broken into overnight at a storage facility in RMH.
