Kenney, Shandro, Dr. Hinshaw share COVID-19 update for April 6

Alberta’s premier, health minister and chief medical officer of health are set to discuss the latest on the COVID-19 situation in the province.

Jason Kenney, Tyler Shandro and Dr. Deena Hinshaw are to speak at a news conference slated to begin at 4:30 p.m. You can watch it live below once it begins.

Hinshaw has said 26 COVID-19 cases stemming from a COVID-19 variant outbreak have been linked to three sites belonging to a business with operations across Western Canada, and so far three are confirmed to be the variant first found in Brazil.

PTW Energy Services later confirmed three positive cases of the P.1 variant in its offices in Edson, Hinton and Drayton Valley.
