RCMP investigate sudden death of woman in Bowden

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating the sudden death of a woman in Bowden.

It was just after 6:30 p.m. Monday when Olds RCMP members responded to an apartment in Bowden to assist EMS at a call.

Police say a deceased female was located at the scene.

“The RCMP Forensic Identification Section (FIS) were called in to assist with the investigation along with the RCMP Major Crimes Unit (MCU). MCU has taken over the investigation,” reads a media release.

RCMP remain at the scene today as the investigation continues. Mounties say there is no threat to the public and that an update will be provided when available.
