Red Deer with 459 active COVID-19 cases as Olymel numbers continue to drop
There continues to be a steady decrease in the number of active cases linked to the COVID-19 outbreak at Olymel in Red Deer.
Alberta Health says that as of Tuesday there are 91 active cases from the outbreak, down 31 from Monday’s total of 122 and a 57per cent drop from the peak number of 212 active cases reported on February 19.
The total number of COVID-19 cases stemming from the Olymel outbreak now sits at 511. There have been 418 recovered cases and three deaths as a result of the outbreak.
City-wide, the number of active cases in Red Deer as of Tuesday sits at 459, a decrease of 40 from Monday.
