Alberta’s Capital Plan includes $5M this year for Red Deer hospital expansion
Alberta’s Capital Plan tabled Thursday by the provincial government includes $5 million this year (2021-22) for Red Deer Regional Hospital Expansion.
That’s followed by $19 million the following year and $35 million in 2023-24 for a total of $59 million.
Red Deer Regional, along with the Misericordia and Royal Alexandra hospitals in Edmonton will share of $4 million over the next three years for health facility project planning.
$50 million is on the books this year for construction of the Red Deer Justice Centre (new courthouse), which is already underway. Another $76 million is allocated for next year followed by $51 million in 2023-24 for a three-year total of $177 million.
