Coldest Night of the Year raises $84,500 for The Mustard Seed
This year’s Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser was a tremendous success in support of The Mustard Seed in Red Deer.
The month-long event brought in $84,500, far surpassing the fundraising goal of $25,000.
“Over 67 teams, 256 walkers from all over Central Alberta participated this year in the event,” shared Scott Tilbury with The Mustard Seed. “The money raised will be used to feed vulnerable men, women and children who are currently accessing our Hot Meal and School Lunch programs.”
The top fundraising team (Team Sypkes) raised over $13,000, ranking 48th in the country and will be presented with a grand prize and top fundraising plaque next week.
