Red Deer man charged for drug possession and trafficking

A Red Deer man faces several drug possession and trafficking related charges.

Late last month, Red Deer RCMP’s Crime Reduction Team was conducting an investigation of a stolen vehicle when they located an individual connected to the vehicle.

During the investigation, Timothy Knowles, 38, of Red Deer was found to be in possession of a substantial amount of drugs.

After conducting a search, investigators located and seized:

• 273 grams of methamphetamine

• 20 grams of Fetanyl

• 29 grams of Psilocybin

• 103 grams of Cannabis Solid concentrate

• 47 grams of Cocaine

• 14 capsules of Hydromorphone

• 20 capsules of Oxycodone

• 131 capsules of Fentanyl Pills

Knowles faces nine charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking (five counts), possession of an imitation weapon or weapon for dangerous purpose, fail to comply with a resource order, proceeds of crime and unlawfully distributing cannabis.

Knowles has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear at Red Deer provincial court on Feb. 18.
