Innisfail couple charged with stealing tools, generators from Sundre area
A couple from Innisfail have been charged after a shipping container near Sundre was broken into and stolen from twice this month.
Police say a sea-can on Beaverrun Trail near Sundre was broken into February 5 and 7. Multiple generators were stolen, along with assorted power tools and gas-powered tools. A suspect and her vehicle were identified via on-site surveillance footage and later identified by Innisfail RCMP.
On February 10, a search warrant was obtained and executed by the Innisfail Detachment and two suspects were arrested at a dwelling on Main Street. Police say evidence linking the suspect to the break and enter was seized from the home along with stolen property, two homemade firearms, ammunition, and methamphetamine.
Sophia Crumley and Russell Keaast-Crumley have been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of methamphetamine, unsafe storage of firearm, possession of an unauthorized firearm and several other property-related charges. They had an appearance in Red Deer provincial court scheduled for February 11.
