Two females have been charged in connection a disturbance at the 7-Eleven store in Ponoka this week.

RCMP say they received a complaint just before 11:40 p.m. on Feb. 9 about two females destroying property inside the store.

Members attended and the suspects fled the store. They are said to have left the store in a state of disarray with items strewn everywhere and damage done to various pieces of electronic equipment. The damage even caused gas pumps to malfunction.

Another complaint at 11:52 alerted RCMP to an apartment where the suspects were located and then arrested.

Taylor Alyssa Threefingers, 23, and a youth who cannot be named, are each charged with mischief.

At the time of her arrest, Threefingers had an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with a probation order. She faces further charges related to that offence, as well as uttering threats, RCMP say. Threefingers is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Ponoka on March 5.

The youth was released on conditions.
