Preliminary hearing set for Sylvan Lake man charged in alleged drug trafficking operation
A preliminary hearing will take place this spring for a Sylvan Lake man charged in an alleged drug trafficking operation in central Alberta.
Dallas Anthony Griffin, 33, is scheduled to find out on May 5 if his case has enough evidence to go to trial.
Griffin is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, six counts of careless use of a firearm, six of unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and breach of recognizance.
Griffin’s charges stem from a joint investigation by Red Deer RCMP and Sylvan Lake RCMP General Investigation Sections which led to the arrest of three people and the seizure of drugs, cash, weapons, and three hand grenades.
