Some COVID-19 restrictions relaxed in Alberta today
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Some of the province’s COVID-19 restrictions introduced back in December are being eased today, Feb. 8.
Restaurants are allowed to re-open for in-person dining, and one-on-one workouts with a fitness instructor can resume.
Sports and entertainment-related activities can resume in schools. Youth will also be able to take part in lessons and practices for team-based minor sports and athletics.
“This is a cautious step forward that protects both lives and livelihoods and it is only possible thanks to the hard work and sacrifice of Albertans,” said Premier Jason Kenney.
