School bus cancellations for Feb. 8, 2021

The following school divisions have announced bus cancellations and school closures for Monday, Feb. 8 due to the extreme cold weather in the region.

Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools

All rural (Red Deer County) school buses are cancelled but the schools are open. Blackfalds, Sylvan Lake, Olds, Innisfail and Rocky Mountain House school buses are cancelled, however the schools are opened.

Chinook’s Edge School Division

– All schools in Chinook’s Edge are closed for the entire day (Monday).

Clearview Public Schools

– School buses will not operate for morning and afternoon services, as well as any planned field trips. Schools remain open. Where schools are not operating, a message will be sent by the Superintendent or designate confirming this.

STAR Catholic

– All STAR Catholic bus routes have been cancelled for Monday, however all schools will remain open.

Wild Rose School Division

– Wild Rose School Division is cancelling all routes for Monday, February 8 due to the extreme cold weather.

Wolf Creek Public Schools

– Due to extreme cold, all Wolf Creek schools are closed and all buses are cancelled.
