Jail time for man charged in Inglewood drugs, weapons bust
One of two people charged in a significant drug, weapons and stolen property bust in southeast Red Deer in 2019 where police laid 141 counts has been handed a global sentence of 42 months behind bars.
Connor Mueller, 25, was also given 66 days’ credit for time already spent in custody and a lifetime firearms ban when he was sentenced in Red Deer provincial court on Jan. 26 for possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, obstructing a peace officer, and knowingly possessing a prohibited or restricted weapon.
Reports of a stolen wallet in Red Deer and a related fraudulent vehicle purchase in Edmonton in November 2019 led a joint investigation by Red Deer RCMP and the Edmonton Police Service, culminating in the arrest of a woman living in Red Deer.
On Nov. 13, 2019, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Inglewood where a male was found hiding in the residence. RCMP K Division Emergency Response Team assisted in his arrest.
