Red Deer man’s death being investigated as homicide

The search for a Red Deer man who went missing last month has turned into a murder investigation.

Red Deer RCMP confirmed on Tuesday that 25-year-old Kyler Corriveau was located deceased on Jan. 17, southeast of Red Deer.

Police say that while an autopsy has been completed and the cause of death yet to be determined, the Major Crimes Unit is investigating Corriveau’s death as a homicide.

Corriveau was last seen on Dec. 15, 2020 in Red Deer near the Dairy Queen on 50 Avenue and was reported missing on Dec. 21.

Anyone who may have information on Corriveau’s disappearance or death is asked to contact Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575.
