Green Route plowing complete, city to start traction control on Grey Routes
Crews with the City of Red Deer are moving on to the next phase of their current snow and ice control efforts this winter.
Officials say crews have completed Green Routes throughout the city and will now begin additional traction control on Grey Routes today.
Recognizing that many people are currently working from home, operators will be skimming the snowpack slightly on Grey Routes to allow additional traction control without leaving windrows or affecting on-street parking for residents.
As they are not completing a full plowing program, residents do not need to move their vehicles off the street. Parking tickets will not be issued and notifications will not be sent in advance of the plows.
