Dr. Hinshaw shares COVID-19 update for Jan. 5

Alberta’s chief medical officer of health is set to provide her first update of the year on the COVID-19 situation in the province.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw will speak during a news conference scheduled for 3:30 p.m. You can watch the news conference below once it begins.

It’ll be Dr. Hinshaw’s first media availability since Dec. 28.

The province reported 1,128 new COVID-19 cases yesterday out of 11,963 test results for a positivity rate of 9.4 per cent.
