RCMP seize $89,000 in stolen equipment from Ponoka County property

Roughly $89,000 worth of stolen property has been recovered by Alberta Mounties following a search warrant at a rural property in Ponoka County last week.

Police say the search took place the evening of Dec. 17 and involved the Ponoka RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS), along with members from Ponoka and Maskwacis RCMP detachments.

A 2019 CAT skid steer loader with a 2019 dump trailer was recovered as a result of the search warrant. Mounties say both pieces of equipment were reported stolen out of Edmonton on Nov. 16.

Police say charges for possession of stolen property over $5,000 are pending.
