Last Wednesday, Premier Jason Kenney announced a task force to execute Alberta’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution.

Shandro said vaccinations in Alberta would begin this Wednesday, Dec. 16 with the first 3,900 doses going to ICU doctors and nurses, respiratory therapists and long-term care workers throughout the province.

Staff from two hospitals in each of Calgary and Edmonton will be the first to get the vaccine.
