Nearly 30,000 Alberta health workers to get first COVID-19 vaccine dose by month’s end
The first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines will be in Alberta very soon, with more expected next week.
The initial 3,900 doses of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine is expected in Alberta on Tuesday and will stored at designated sites in Calgary and Edmonton.
“As announced, we’ll begin immunizing ICU doctors and nurses, respiratory therapists and eligible continuing care staff in Edmonton and in Calgary,” Health Minister Tyler Shandro said Monday.
Another 25,350 doses is expected next week, he added.
