Fraserway RV is showing that giving is still possible this holiday season.

The company’s Red Deer location presented cheques worth $2500 each this week to the Red Deer Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

General Manager Peter Schmucker says staff had input on where the donations would go.

“It’s tough right now and a lot of people are without their jobs, so it’s nice that as a company we can do this,” says Schmucker. “If other businesses could do a little bit of the same, or as individuals if we can find little things to do that don’t cost a lot of money, we can help people and families.”

Schmucker says giving doesn’t have to be big and dollar amount don’t really matter because it’s the thought that counts at the end of the day.

“It’s a great feeling,” he adds, alluding to his staff. “It just makes us all smile. Our people here love it.

“If you have some time, some people need help delivering stuff like groceries, and there are all sorts of things we can do with our time and money.”
