Man sought in relation to Sunnybrook homicide

Red Deer RCMP and the Major Crimes Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a wanted male in relation to a homicide that occurred Nov. 25 in the Sunnybrook neighbourhood.

Police were called to a residence on Stewart Street at about 5 p.m. that afternoon and arrived to find a deceased male inside. RCMP said the incident was believed to be an isolated one and that the public was not at further risk.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Dustin Mitchell (Coats), 25, of Red Deer.

Mitchell (pictured above) is described as:

• Caucasian

• 6 feet tall / 160 lbs.

• Brown hair and brown eyes

• Tattoos: Still (under right eye) breathing (under left eye) and scroll writing on neck.

Police say his current whereabouts are unknown. He is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached by the public. If located, you are asked to call 911 and provide the location.
