Notre Dame concert band class enters CBC contest

The concert band class at École Secondaire Notre Dame High School has entered the CBC Music Class Challenge.
For their entry, the students performed “Hymn to Freedom” by Oscar Peterson, which was one of 22 songs listed in the contest.
“With the pressures and restrictions due to COVID-19, our opportunities to perform publicly have been greatly reduced. This was a chance to really work at polishing a piece of music and keep our students accountable for their own progress. This year has required us to think about alternate ways to both still play together and share our music with an audience,” said Band Teacher, Tim Brehaut at École Secondaire Notre Dame High School.
“This experience has emphasized the flexibility of the performing arts in adjusting to new challenges.”
