Tradition Postponed

Innisfail RCMP Charity Checkstop postponed

Nov 26, 2020 | 6:45 PM

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the postponement of another holiday tradition in central Alberta as this year’s Innisfail RCMP Charity Checkstop has been postponed.

This means no items are being collected at the Innisfail detachment, but the Town of Innisfail office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. to collect new toys and clothing for the Christmas Bureau.

Town officials will also collect cash donations for both the Food Bank and Christmas Bureau. However, they will not be collecting food at this time.

Innisfail RCMP are hopeful they will still be able to host the event in the New Year, once current public health restrictions have been relaxed.
