MNP Announces Patrick Wigmore as New Regional Managing Partner

MNP is excited to share that Patrick Wigmore, CPA, CA, will succeed Doug Stroh, CPA, CA, as the firm’s Regional Managing Partner (RMP) for the Central Alberta region. Patrick is looking forward to taking on the role, while Doug pivots his focus to working more directly with clients.

“I am honoured to lead the MNP team in a region that I’ve been lucky enough to call home for the past 13 years,” Patrick said. “Today’s business environment is presenting challenges but also opportunities and I have always marveled at how organizations in Central Alberta adapt and find ways to succeed”.

Patrick has spent more than the last decade as an accountant in Red Deer and brings extensive national and international experience of helping organizations improve their operations and achieve their business goals. Since 2018, Patrick held the role of Vice-President, Oil & Gas, supporting a range of clients working in this vital Canadian industry.

“The Central Alberta economy benefits from strong businesses of all shapes and sizes and so my first priority is to work with our team to help local businesses navigate the current environment,” added Patrick. “There’s no question that COVID has changed the way organizations have to operate and it’s more important than ever that we stand side-by-side with our clients — no matter where they are on their own journeys.”

With a continuing commitment to Red Deer, MNP will be moving to a new office space within Red Deer’s new Capstone area in early 2022. The new office will allow MNP to focus on providing the support clients have come to expect and remain accessible in downtown Red Deer.

Patrick succeeds Doug, who will continue to work with clients out of MNP’s Red Deer office.
