Traffic signal replacement coming at downtown intersection

The City of Red Deer is advising motorists of a prolonged traffic disruption at the intersection of 51 Street and 49 Avenue.

It’ll commence starting at 7:00 a.m. this Monday, November 23 until 4:00 p.m. on February 21, 2021.

City officials say the intersection will have temporary lane closures throughout the project as crews work to replace traffic signal infrastructure.

Drivers are reminded to obey all signage and to use caution while driving through the construction area.
