RCMP identify human remains found at Ermineskin First Nation

RCMP have confirmed that human remains found on Feb. 24, 2020 on the Ermineskin First Nation are those of Willard Swampy.
Mounties say Swampy, 55, was reported missing to Wetaskiwin RCMP on Nov. 28, 2019 with efforts made to locate him.
His disappearance was initially reported to the media by Wetaskiwin RCMP on Dec. 3, 2019 and then again on Jan. 9, 2020.
RCMP, however, were not able to confirm this information prior to positive identification being established with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
