Precautionary Measures

County of Stettler implements mandatory masking in County facilities

Nov 7, 2020 | 1:20 PM

Officials with the County of Stettler have announced mandatory masking for its facility visitors, staff and contractors.

In order to continue to protect staff, council, the community, and the integrity of County operations, officials say they are stepping up safety precautions both in County facilities and in the field.

Beginning Nov. 9, anyone entering a County of Stettler facility will be required to wear a mask. Masks will be provided to those without who are entering County facilities.

Officials say the County of Stettler remains committed to minimizing the spread of COVID-19 and dedicated to taking precautionary measures to protect residents, visitors, and employees.

These precautionary measures are said to be in response to a continuing trend of increasing cases of COVID-19 throughout the province.

County officials say they are endeavoring to support Alberta Health Services efforts to again, flatten the curve of the rise in cases and relieve extra stress on healthcare workers and provincial facilities due to COVID-19.

As of 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 6, the Government of Alberta interactive case map was reporting zero cases in the Stettler County region.

County operations, however, will continue as normal Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Bill payments may be made in person or through online banking, over the phone, or through the County’s drop box at the front door of the Administration Building at 6602-44 Avenue, Stettler. The Public Works facility remains closed to the public.
