Rocky RCMP Report October 30- November 5

This is a report released to the media from the Rocky Mountain House (RMH) RCMP giving a brief description of various crimes and call-ins, both solved and unsolved throughout the community between the dates of October 30-November 5

Not all crimes reported are listed in this report.

October 30

12:12 P.M. – Police stopped a vehicle in Rocky Mountain House after it was determined that the licence plate did not match the vehicle. The car didn’t have insurance or registration and both occupants were arrested for having outstanding arrest warrants.

October 31

9:07 P.M. – Complaint of a rock thrown through a window of a residence on 54 Street by four youth wearing white masks.

November 1

1:22 A.M. – Complaint of a male sleeping in the back alley behind a church in Rocky Mountain House. Police attended and arrested the drunk individual.

1:45 P.M. – Complaint of a passenger pointing a firearm out of a vehicle on the Forestry Trunk Road.

5:37 P.M. – Complaint of a goat shot at a farm southeast of town.

9:40 P.M. – Complaint of an impaired driver at a residence on the Sunchild First Nation. Police located the individual at another residence banging on someone’s door. He was subsequently arrested and released after sobering up.

10:09 A.M. – Complaint of an individual threatening others with a weapon on the O’Chiese First Nation. Police attended and arrested the female who had taken methamphetamine.

November 2

9:56 A.M. – B&E reported to sea-can containers at air cadet camp on SecHwy #591, Clearwater County.

10:26 A.M. – Report of an assault which had occurred Halloween night in Rocky Mountain House. Under investigation.

2:34 P.M. – Complaint of an intoxicated male attempting to break into vehicles and trying to fight others near the downtown area of Rocky Mountain House. Police located and arrested the individual who had an outstanding warrant from Edmonton. He was also breaching previous Prohibition orders as he had ammunition on him.

8:02 P.M. – 911 call of silver 2001 Dodge1500 which had been stolen within the past 2 hours from a residence in Rocky Mountain House. Several complaints received of this vehicle driving dangerously before it was found abandoned on Hwy #11, just south of town.

3:08 A.M. – Report of a shoplifter at a local Rocky Mountain House convenience store.

November 3

6:15 A.M. – Attempted theft of a vehicle in Rocky Mountain House after the command start activated. The skinny suspect in his 50’s wearing a grey ‘wind breaker’ was last seen walking down 51 street.

8:45 – B&E reported to a residence on the O’Chiese First Nation. Window by front door found broken with a rock. Under investigation.

9:52 A.M. – Grey 1998 Chevrolet Suburban stolen from a camp on Buster Creek Road.

3:43 P.M. – Suspicious male found in the driver’s seat of a Telus truck. The operator told him to get out when he found him. Nothing was stolen & no damage.

11:51 A.M. – RCMP Crime Reduction Unit stopped a vehicle on the Sunchild First Nation and discovered 2 sawed-off shotguns. 3 adults are facing a number of charges including breaching previous release conditions.

November 4

11:49 A.M. – Complaint from an individual advising of threatening phone messages received over the last month. Under investigation.

5:48 P.M. – 911 call of an individual threatening others with a firearm at a residence on the O’Chiese First Nation. Police attended and arrested the male who was on conditions from previous release orders.

10:31 P.M. – Police stopped a vehicle with visible damage on Hwy #11 after it was determined that the licence plate did not match. The driver, who had to exit the passenger side due to the damage, he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Red Deer. As well, he did not have a PAL for the two rifles that were discovered along with some drug paraphernalia. Further charges are pending.

November 5

1:18 P.M. – Complaint of an individual who was shot with a BB gun the previous evening. Matter is under investigation.

2:10 P.M. – Report of a male on the train trestle in Rocky Mountain House, throwing items off. Police located the heavily intoxicated male who was on previous release conditions. Further charges are pending.
