Donation drive tomorrow in Red Deer

Red Deer Against Racism, alongside Black and Indigenous Alliance Alberta and the Alberta Humanitarian Initiative, is hosting a community donation drive tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 7) from noon until 5 p.m. at Red Deer City Hall Park.
They are accepting items such as blankets, sleeping bags, men’s, women’s, and children’s winter wear, hygiene products, and non-perishable food items.
Collected items will be given to vulnerable people and families in central Alberta.
“We also will be accepting bottles to help raise finds to get more materials to give to the community. Whatever isn’t used will be donated to shelters within the city,” says organizer Cheryl Jamie.
